Question cards
For children who find it hard to ask: the child points to a card and asks "Does your character have...?" You can print and cut them out.

Make It Easier
- Start every question with the same fixed phrase: "Does your character have...?" The child only adds one word.
- Question cards with pictures: glasses, hat, beard, blond hair, red hair. The child picks a card and asks about it.
- The adult asks first and says out loud why: "I'm asking about glasses because some characters have them and some don't."
- At first the child can point to something on a character and ask "Does yours have this?" Then move on to words.
- Play with fewer characters (8 to 10) with differences that are easy to see.
- After each answer, stop and say it together: "No? Then flip down everyone with glasses."
Make It More Challenging
Try to solve the mystery using as few questions as possible.
