Preparation

Tear or cut the crepe paper into small squares, about 1 inch.

  • Hand strength: Crumpling small pieces of paper with the fingertips strengthens the small muscles of the hand that are later used to hold a pencil.

Make It Easier

Use bigger squares and crumple with the whole hand. The balls can be stuck onto contact paper instead of glue.

Make It More Challenging

Crumple with one hand only, pick up the balls with tweezers, or fill the tree by color: brown at the bottom, orange in the middle, and yellow on top.
