Magic Leaf

Materials | | 1. Printable fall drawings (leaf, pumpkin, acorn) | | | 2. Oil pastels in fall colors | | | 3. 2 sheets of white paper | | | 4. Pencil | | | 5. Tape (optional) |
Preparation: Print the drawing pages and choose one drawing. How to Play | | 1. Color a white sheet with oil pastels, pressing hard in a thick layer, until the whole sheet is covered in fall colors. | | | 2. Lay down a clean white sheet, the colored sheet on top of it color side down, and the drawing on top of everything. | | | 3. Trace the lines of the drawing with a pencil, pressing firmly. The other hand holds the sheets so they don't move. | | | 4. Lift the top two sheets and reveal the colorful drawing on the white sheet. |

- ⭐The secret is a thick layer: The thicker the color, the clearer the lines. Oil pastels work especially well because they are soft and oily.
- ⭐Force control: If the line comes out faint, press harder with the pencil. It's natural practice in controlled pressure.
Make It Easier
Tape all three sheets to the table so they don't move, and start with the pumpkin, which has simple, round lines.
Make It More Challenging
Draw your own fall picture and transfer it, or color the sheet in stripes of different colors so the line comes out in rainbow colors.
