How to Play

How to play – The Magic String – Activity for kidsShow the child an everyday object, such as a piece of string, and invite them to think of as many different things as it could become. The string might become a circle or a snake, and a hat might become a mask. You can also shape letters with the string and practice recognizing them. Use your imagination and turn the object into something new.
  • School readiness: Use the string to practice making letters and numbers.

Make It Easier

For younger children, use two or three ideas and demonstrate each one.
